Four working committees have been defined: Operations and Finance committee is charged with running the business side of the club, create a ByLaws document to present to the membership, file for 501c.3 non-profit organization status, and create a financial management system. Chairperson Kenneth Nesbitt email nwipa@nwipa.org Blueways Stewardship committee has been established to identify waterways in need of attention for log jam removal, trash cleanup, or other work to make them more accessible to paddlers and the public. Chairperson Gina Darnell email nwipa@nwipa.org Education and Outreach committee will work with schools, scouting groups, and other learning centers to create opportunities to introduce children and adults to the joys of paddling. They will also serve to inform and educate the public about the condition of our waterways and why it is necessary to clean them and develop public access. Chairperson Vacant Paddling Committee will be in charge of setting up and promoting the club’s just-for-fun paddles and social events.
