Robinson Lake Paddle

Paddling tour intended to allow beginners the chance to experience canoeing and kayaking & raise awareness of Robinson Lake. Shirley Heinze Land Trust is offering free hikes at a nearby preserve. BYO Lunch. DNR Coastal Awareness Month Event

Registration and Paddle Noon to 3 pm.


Novice and up.  This event offers beginning paddlers an opportunity to experience canoeing and kayaking.  NWIPA will have loaner boats available or BYOB (bring your own boat and gear).  Paddle coaches will be on hand for those who want some paddling pointers.  


Volunteers please be at Robinson Lake by 10:30 am.

7th Annual MC Ride the Wave Regatta

Sea Kayak Marathon on Lake Michigan Water Trail. Official points race as listed on the IN Div of US Canoe Assoc 2013  schedule.  Further details at www.ridethewaveregatta.com
19 mile Marathon for Advanced paddlers.
8 mile Short race for intermediate skill paddlers.

Saugany Lake Jellyfish Paddle

Paddling tour of Saugany Lake, one of Indiana's cleanest lakes and home to the freshwater jellyfish often seen in the late summer and fall.  Cookout & potluck prior to the paddle at the Saugany Lake Conservation Club

Kankakee River Sandhill Crane Trip

Paddling tour of the Kankakee River from the English Lake to Dunn's Bridge followed by a trip to the nearby Jasper-Pulaski FWA to witness 10 - 15 thousand Sand Hill Cranes.  Beverages & appetizers will be served at Dunn's Bridge following the paddle.
